So, yesterday rolled around and neither one of us had properly prepared. It was ok though. My sister, Coko, is here. She saved the day. We were able to leave the kids with her while we went to a nice dinner. I had protein in the form of a magnificent steak and had a nice side salad and ended with a Dulce de Lece crepe. YUM! I split the salad and dessert with David...because, well, a tiny bit of space is all I've got in my belly!
David was literally reminded about the day because his calendar at work alerted him to it, and I was reminded because Parker requested a calendar check to figure out when the baby was coming. It dawned on us about the same time I suspect. Thank you calendars!!! And pushy little boys!
Tomorrow is the day I visit the midwife and ask all the crazy questions, then I meet my anesthesiologist and find out what will really be happening to me and the baby. I have all this paperwork to fill out...all in dutch! I also have a Kraamzorg (home nurse for baby/mom aftercare) intake meeting on Thursday with MORE paperwork that has to be filled out...all in dutch! Meanwhile, I have a cold or allergies that have turned into a sinus infection...again. And I'm beginning to worry how I'm supposed to be able to breathe during surgery with my nose completely stuffed up and my throat that keeps creating a wall of phlegm when I am laying down. And an awful cough! Not really sure how that is going to work...they need to give me something to clear this mess up, but I suspect they won't. grrrr. So, I'm stressed out about dying on the operation table. I'm so glad that David and I got to spend some alone time together on our anniversary.
Next year is 15! If I survive this birth...I am going to plan an official blowout party!
PS - I know...I need to blog about a gillion other things like girlcation, visitors to the Netherlands, good friends, momentous occasions, moving to a new branch, etc...Sorry!

Uh ya, get on that blogging! Its not like you have anything else to do! ;) I will be praying that all goes well! You are such a trooper, I think I would have melted down and thrown tempter tantrums to rival Jack's. It will all go well and when its over you deserve a medal for sure!
Yes, I second Megan. Isn't like you don't have a TON of extra time on your hands. You need to get going on that blogging. Also, congrats on making it to 14! That is awesome and one year ahead of me.
I will expect an invite to your 15th, which will be in.....????
