retro birthday

Retro TIME!!!! YAYA! PARTY! Actually birthday parties to be exact. The pirate princess party was for Angelina and Madelyn in November. They said they wanted a pool party...but I could NOT just throw a pool party. How very boring is that? So, I threw a Pirate/Princess Party. The invitations were beautiful...though I didn't get a picture. The girls were beautiful...though I didn't get a picture. I know!!!! What kind of mom doesn't take pictures of her girls at their own birthday party? I'll tell you, the kind of mom that has to stand and be lifeguard for around 40 crazy kids from the ages of 3-9. After losing most of our balloons in the most fabulous balloon release in a decade, I wasn't about to lose any swimming children because I was too busy snapping pictures. Forget it. So, this is what remains...a bunch of strange pics that were snapped in haste because at some point I realized I hadn't taken any yet. The other pictures are from Parker's 3rd birthday in May. Better late than never...enjoy~

Pirate ship hotdogs! Aargh!
P-A-R-T-Y! Did I mention there was background pirate music the whole time?
The blow up pirate island/cove that was to float in the water. The boys destroyed it in less than 10 minutes. I think that should be some kind of record.

Little girl running! little girl running! This would soon be followed with little girl falling...
The spread.
Parker's 3rd Birthday!!!
This was afterwards...he was tired...I know these pics aren't in order...oh well.

Nonny's present. He loves it!

Getting a bit lost in the bag....he actually fell in and had to be pulled out.
Happy!

Silly string. Oh yes, we went there. And it was fun.

Covered!

Yeah - we didn't blow out candles at the girls party as the cupcakes were eaten before we could.
Yay for parties!!!!!

How come we weren't invited?! This looks amazing! I'm much to lazy to plan this sort of thing. I'm very glad to have kids who don't know what they are missing with our very simple celebrations!
