This is how it started: Last night I forgot my phone downstairs which meant that I would need to get up at the same time David did so I could ensure the girls got up on time (cell phone = alarm clock). Which I did. A few minutes later, Parker crawled into bed with me. 6 am and he is awake. I went downstairs to make sure the girls were getting along fine...they weren't. I had to send Madelyn upstairs 4 times to change. I don't know what she was thinking...white stretchy pants with a short top...then summer shorts in the winter...the entire time exposing all of her valentine tatoos she had put on herself - about 30...all over. Ok...wait...I do know what she was thinking. Except she is only 7!!!!! We finally settled on some knee length navy shorts. The whole time she is crying...then she got a runny nose...then I sent her to her room for good to get it under control. I was NOT going to send her to school with that attitude. You bet your bippy she could marinate all day under her covers. When she seemed to get calmer I told her to come back down if she wanted to go to school. She did...but still crying. Sigh. Getting Parker ready for preschool was a struggle as he got up at 6 and only wanted to hide and not go anywhere. I got him to preschool, raced home and did some pilates. Went back to pick him up. Got confused about what date it was, only to find out that today was supposed to be the day for the Relief Society Lunch and not tomorrow. I raced home, put on some jeans, dropped Parker off and raced to the restaurant. I arrived and was having a pleasant time when I realized my shirt was on backwards.
It's been a few hours and guess what? My shirt is STILL on backwards.
I can only imagine what the rest of my day will be like.

I feel your pain! Derrick has been out of town for work a lot recently and trying to ride herd on all 5 kids by myself has proved interesting.
The really funny thing is that all of the BIG messes have happened when he was home, go figure!
Some days just start out bad :)
