1) I got my entire family ready for church without help from the hubster. AND we got to church EARLY! Yes, we haven't been early once since they changed the time from 1 pm to 9 am here. Morning church is torture to me.
2) Parker was an angel during Sacrament. I can't really take all the credit for that...but shouldn't I get some? Afterall, the whole being an angel thing comes from my genes...definitely NOT David's.
3) I led the choir today without any practice with them...and they followed. Former choir director here...but not of THIS choir. And it wasn't terrible. I did ok...thank goodness they were good and everything :) So, I really can't take the credit for how they sounded, just how I was actually AT CHURCH at 9ish to be able to do this substitute assignment. It felt good though...what is it about leading a choir that makes you feel so good inside? It is like they are personally singing to you. That must be it. They are all looking at you and singing to you so it is like a personal concert. My heart gets all warm and gushy and I realize how much I miss it. It is so nice to be a part of a prayer to God in the form of a choir.
4) I discovered frozen grapes.
5) I taught my sunday school class about prayer and think they might have a new view on prayer.
6) I had a temple recommend interview...my recommend expired in November and I took it out of my purse and then couldn't find it. So I have procrastinated going because I knew they would ask for my old one and I was hoping I would be able to give it to them...but NOOOOOOO it is somewhere in my bedroom but I cannot locate it. I finally gave up. Why is it that when they ask the questions I suddenly get a glimpse of what it must feel like to be in a catholic confessional? Except - they don't want you to confess your sins...they simply want you to answer the questions. YES NO YES No. Well, I want to CONFESS! I hurt someone's feelings, I get angry at times, sometimes I argue with my husband, sometimes I don't know how to handle some of the crud my kids pull and I worry about things that don't really matter. Aren't these things worth confessing? Apparently not. But they are big deals to me!!! Anyway, I looked like a fool as these things took over my mind after each question...but I got through it. So YAY!
7) I got an awesome mom award for feeding my kids sugar waffles for lunch and then balancing it by creating a "healthy" soup for dinner.
8) We watched a cute movie called Surf's Up as a family.
9) Parker put the wii controller in the bidet (or the lake as he likes to call it)... and he is still alive :)
10) I left relief society before the closing song to get Parker and he looked like he was having massive fun in his Sunbeam class...I have a feeling the dark days of sunbeam fear will be over soon...which again, has nothing to do with me, but I like to think my goodie genes are starting to get a bit stronger in him.
11) I got the kids to help me try to overcome David in a tickle war...we didn't defeat him...but there were lots of giggles which definitely counts for something. Even with the four of us trying to get him...he still managed to gouge me with his evil tickle claws.
12) I made caramel popcorn and it tastes pretty good, but it is the wrong color. We liked it...I'm typing on a sticky keyboard right now.
13) I'm a few days closer to my girlcation!!!! Yay!

Hey Amber,
I just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for your consistently kind and supportive comments on my blog. I can't tell you how much they mean to me.
It's such a tragedy that we never got a chance to meet while you were living here. The world is a small place, so maybe some day in the future, you never know!
