Happy 11th Anniversary!
July 11th marks our 11th anniversary. I have been married to my best friend for 11 years now and it seems just like yesterday that we were sealed in the Dallas temple. Well, until I look at the pictures and am reminded of how young I used to be! And yet, somehow that simply doesn't matter. The hair might have changed, the waistlines are definitely bigger and we have a few more wrinkles, but somehow the most important thing in this picture is still the same - us. We are still together. We still love each other more than ever. We still can't live without each other. The smile is still as happy.

It all started with a return missionary and a very determined student (ME!). No way was I falling into that trap of getting married right out of high school. You could just forget that! When I heard about this tall guy returning from Hungary and coming to Lamar, my heart started pounding...but I steeled it against any impact. Then I saw him, and my heart did that thing again...you know, the one where it feels like it is pounding in your throat and it feels like you can't swallow. I steeled it again...no, I completely blocked it from any possible attack. Or so I thought. I sat on the OPPOSITE side of the room for class. The next class came and I sat on the opposite side again, but before I knew what had happend I was surrounded by boys. What? David was sitting next to me with one seat in between us. We were assigned a project together ... and my walls were pummeled. I was in love. It happened so fast. There simply isn't an adequate description for the immediate bond, total connection and absolute adoration felt. Soon we were engaged, but not before David was my first hand hold and kiss - that's a story for a later date!
And before I knew it, we were walking out of the temple hand in hand!

So, the sappy part is almost nearly over. Someday I promise to write down an indepth account...but this one is for David. David you are my darling husband - and I utterly hate that we can't be together for this anniversary.
Look at our custom family blend!
I LOVE YOU DAVID!
