me = jealous of the people who are going to coldplay.
sigh...
David told me I could go...I just didn't think it would be wise to attend alone - or all that much fun. I couldn't convince any of my friends to fly over here.
In other news, I leave for Bali soon...and I am staying in this incredibly awesome villa with cooks, maids, butler, driver, 2 massage therapists that come for an hour everyday...2 pools...my own spa pavilion. I think someone should be jealous of me....just lathered on the self tanner for swimsuit prep and worked out at the gym for 2 hours. I'll be ready!

I was at the Coldplay concert ;)
You should have tried harder with your friends.
oh, you make me jealous! I hope you had a wonderful time.
My friends are all in America...they weren't about to fly half way around the world to see a band that plays dozens of concerts in thier own country :( It isn't a matter of trying harder with my friends - it is a matter of making more friends. Ones closer. I am a loser ;) But you got to see coldplay - did you have to wear a clear poncho? Or was yours colored?
We were totally unprepared for the rain, and they had said before hand that they won't allow umbrellas. When it started to rain before the concert we rain to the catering area and got two large garbage bags which we tore holes in for our hands and heads and wore as ponchos. Coldplay merchandising must have made a shitload of money that night because most of the audience, including us, went and bought Coldplay Viva La Vida caps.
Oh man did we get soaked that night. But the rain and the lightning somehow fit the show perfectly. It was almost as if it was all part of the show. I hadn't been to an outdoor concert since college, and it was my first rock concert since Peter Gabriel in Glasgow 5 years ago. Just being in a concert was a huge deal for me.
It was a great show. I was a huge Coldplay fan with the first and second albums. I thought the third album was a bit too sappy and uncohesive. I never got into this last one. But once there in concert I was singing along even with Fix You even though I used to make fun of the chorus before (I mean WTF does "ignite your bones" supposed to mean". I came out of it with a much higher regard for the band. They really did step up that night.
