hunky

When we were first married, I would think to myself...ok, I said it out loud sometimes...he looks like a greek god statue. For several reasons. One, he was very fair complected ( like a statue.) Two, he was tall, slender and cut...nicely. Like those statues you see in the museums of Achilles. Minus the heel problem of course. And his posturing...the way that he stood...was so reminiscent of those same statues...I always wished that my sketching skills were good enough to draw him.

And then I got more proficient at cooking.

And Achilles turned into something else...just like my little body turned into...well, something more substantial.

And here we are.

But we could be happy this way. Really, we could. We have been for about 12 years now. Our bodies are cushiony and perfect for cuddling.

Tonight, he told me on the phone that he went and worked out with guys from work - for 2 HOURS! Only on arms. What? I'm a bit distressed. He's in Doha getting all glorified and youthful and cut...like he once was. And I'm here tending to sick children, eating whatever crud I can that is quick...NOT getting glorified and youthful. And...please explain to me how you work on only arms for 2 full hours? I don't understand...my brain is not comprehending this. David hasn't worked out in ions. And yet...my imagination is starting to get the best of me...I can only imagine what 2 hours can do to his arms...and my heart is racing in anticipation to see them again.

My husband is working out! For ME! I feel so special and loved. Maybe now he won't die a really early death...maybe he will actually live for quite some time...attractively and strongly.

But you know what this means, right? It means somehow I have to get everyone better, stop eating junk...and hit the gym.

You can do it!

I think that those 2 hours will only leave him unable to move his arms the next 2 days ;)

sorry to burst your bubble but I suspect he is going to the gym because he is bored, doesnt have kids to look after, has loads of free time on his hands and not much to do.

at least the gym will keep him out of "trouble". however, if you want him to stay healthy and live to a long old age he needs to do more aerobic work rather than working on bulking up his arms.....
