memory lane

I have been so wrapped up in making sure that my children have what they need, that I have forgotten what I need. As well as what my waistline needs...

I just stopped over at cafe muscato who had this charming video http://expatriato.blogspot.com/2008/10/word-from-our-sponsor.html#links

and it reminded me of my own pair of tap shoes that haven't even been fully broken in yet. It took me a long time to justify purchasing a pair of these and I want to make sure that my purchase was not in vain!
Is there anywhere here where I can take a tap lesson or two? It can even be basic beginner tap. I don't care...these suckers need to be broken in and I don't think I can do it on a marble floor. If you know where I might take a tap class or where I might purchase some dance flooring it would be much appreciated. Adult ballet is nice as well. Although, I can't exactly do ballet in this particular hot pink/black shoe...
I leave you with one of my favorite tap numbers:
I don't know how to make one of those nifty attachments like other people, but this link should work. Amazing stuff.

Gosh, I've never heard of anyone interested in tap here.

Hmmmm.

What a great business opportunity though to open up a studio that teaches tap. There's very little recreational wise when it comes to that stuff for the locals...(unless I'm totally missing something!)

There is a new dance studio opening up in Al Athaiba (convenient for me!) that will be teaching RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) Ballet technique. The instructor is certified. I will probably put the girls in...depending on if their schedule meshes with ours. They don't offer adult ballet classes. If you want more info I can get it for you.
